About this file
This document contains responses to questions from contractors regarding a solicitation to construct an addition to Building B235 at the 142nd Fighter Wing base. Key details include that the project involves demolishing portions of an existing building and constructing a new addition, with work including site utilities, concrete foundations, structural steel and metal decking. Micropiles will be used for the foundation, and the project requires compliance with stormwater permitting requirements. Temporary security fencing and erosion controls are specified. The responses clarify requirements for base access, utility coordination, environmental controls, quality control personnel, and provide additional design details for elements like metal decking, signage, and fall protection. Specifications and product information are provided for items like CMU sealing, shower components, windows and flooring. An updated foundation plan replaces the original due to pile layout inconsistencies.

- Yes, this is acceptable
41. We are reviewing the micropile installation for the referenced project. During our review of Sheet S-110 the pile layout does not appear consistent, i.e. a large number of piles in the northwest on grids A, 3, and 4, and very few piles under the remainder of the structure that would appear to have similar loading. Will there be any additional or addenda drawings?
- See the update foundation plan attached, the piles didn’t plot correctly on the original drawing and have been updated. Original drawing S-110 called for 31 piles, this updated plan calls for 33 piles, 2 additional.
