STATEMENT OF WORK

REPAIR BLDG 420 HVAC
MANSFIELD LAHM ANG BASE
MANSFIELD, OHIO

1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1.1 The contractor shall furnish all labor, material and appurtenances to perform work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for the removal and replacement of the chiller and air handling unit at Building 420, Medical Group and Dining Facility:
A. Repair by replacement of the existing 12,000 CFM air handling unit.
B. Repair by replacement of the existing 90 ton packaged chiller.
This work shall include all accessories, parts and equipment necessary to make a complete and usable facility including all damaged systems. Only U.S. manufactured equipment shall be installed for this project.
1.2 The location of the proposed work is within the POL area of the Mansfield Lahm ANG Base, Mansfield, Ohio.
1.3 The contractor shall coordinate closely with the ANG and provide all dust control, temporary utilities ad any measures necessary to prevent any extended outages of the facility.
1.4 The contractor shall not exceed the scope of work without prior approval from the Contracting Officer.
1.5 The contractor shall protect all government property from damage. Any damages incurred in pursuance of this project shall be replaced and/or restored to original condition.
1.6 The contractor shall maintain a clean and safe job site at all times to prevent damage to aircraft on concrete parking apron, other existing utilities, and surrounding facilities that may be affected; this is also intended to protect building occupants from potential health hazard associated with the proposed work. This shall include dust, debris, and waste created in performance of this project; along with tools, equipment, and vehicles located at the job site. The contractor shall comply with the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1972 and all provisions thereto.
1.7 The Contractor is responsible for properly laying out the work, and for lines and measurements for the work executed under the Contract Documents.
A. The Contractor, NOT the Government, is responsible to field verify all existing underground utilities within the excavation limits and/or as shown on the Drawings, before laying out the work. The Contractor is to report errors or inaccuracies in writing to the Contracting Officer's Representative before commencing work.
B. The Contracting Officer or his Representative will in no case assume the responsibility for any layout of the work or damages to existing underground utilities while performance of work is underway.
1.8 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS. The dimensions provided by the government are only approximations and they are not responsible for their precision or accuracy. This includes but is not limited to blueprints, drawings, schedules, and statements of work.
1.9 The contractor shall provide a one-year warranty for the work contained herein.
They shall pass along extended guarantees for equipment and products.
1.10 All trash, waste, and construction debris generated from this project shall become property of the contractor and shall be removed from the base. The disposal of these materials shall follow the appropriate Federal and State laws. This includes the disposal or recycling of hazardous materials.
1.11 Bids for this project shall be valid for 90 days.
1.12 A site visit is highly recommended to bid on this project.

2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
2.1 Scope: The contractor shall provide all labor and materials to install the following, as outlined in the specifications and drawings:
A. Disconnect existing air handling unit from electrical and ductwork. Remove old AHU and dispose offsite.
B. Install new like-in-kind AHU, 13,000CFM.
C. Disconnect existing chiller from electrical and water piping. Remove old equipment and dispose offsite.
D. Install new like-in-kind 90-ton chiller.
E. Ensure all proper connections (e.g. plumbing, electrical) to the new chiller and AHU.
F. Commission chiller and monitor for proper orientation.
G. Test and balance the new system. Provide a TAB report to the COR.
H. Provide training on the new equipment to maintenance personnel.
2.2 Special Considerations: There are NO special project considerations other than requirements on the drawings and as required in specification sections of the project documents.
2.3 Government Furnished Property: There is NO Government furnished property provided for this project.
