Text version

•While at the site visit there was some discussion of the partial depth repairs along joints and at joint intersections on the apron. Will concrete partial depth repairs be added to the scope of work? If so, can the COR please provide a square foot (SF) quantity of partial depth repair as a basis for bidding?

It was mentioned at the site visit that there may be partial depth repairs, and if those are required as part of the joint repair process, we will address it as a modification to the contract. It is not included in the initial basis for bidding.

•Will cones need to be removed after a days work and put back up in the morning around the zone the contractor is working in or will cones be placed around the zone and stay there overnight until all work is completed?

We will work with the 126th Airfield Management (Ms. Lisa Weekely) to allow the cones to remain onsite as needed. However, there may be instances where you may have to clean up the job site to allow for night operations if we cannot find another way to get planes in and out safely.

•There are painted lines running for hundreds of feet along concrete joints that will be resealed. If the paint is damaged does it only need to be repainted at the joint where it’s damaged or does the entire line need to be repainted?

If the paint is damaged due to the joint repair, only repaint where the joint is being replaced. No need to repaint the entire line.
