Question: The material spec needs further clarification. FS-SS-S-200 is an inactive spec as of 2009. Will the COR accept single component, self-leveling, silicone sealant meeting ASTM D5893 for PCC/PCC slab joints and PCC/HMA joints? Self-leveling silicone meeting ASTM 5893 is jet fuel resistant and compatible with both asphalt and concrete pavements.

Answer: If the one part sealant is jet-fuel resistant and meets the requirements of UFGS 32 01 19, than it is an acceptable alternative to the two part sealant.
