Subject: RESPONSES TO RFI #002
Project: F-35 – REPAIR FUEL CELL, BUILDING 1203
Job #: ANG# FAKZ182351 / SSL# 18073
From: David Donovan
1) Question: Note 7 on A2.1 indicates the floor is to be cleaned, existing striping to be removed. Please clarify level of floor cleaning required for this work? Is existing coating to be removed?
Response: Existing coating is intended to remain. Floor to be cleaned as required to install new striping indicated. Clean entire floor area, not just areas to receive new or refreshed striping using method recommended by striping manufacturer for proper installation of new striping.
2) Question: Request for Specification on what product spec they would like used on the line striping?
Response: Refer to Addendum No. 2.
3) Question: There was mention of the hanger door "Danger Area" to be "refreshed".
4) Question: There was also mention of a need for a red stripe around the perimeter of the hangers for a security identifier. If that is the case, please define width and location around perimeter striping.
