About this file
This is an Insurance Requirements Checklist for the City of West Sacramento's standard contracts, specifically for contracts valued between $2,000,000 and $4,000,000 in aggregate coverage. The checklist establishes mandatory insurance requirements that all contractors and vendors must maintain and provide documentation for prior to contract execution. For the Sycamore Trail Phase IV and V Feasibility Study, contractors must obtain Commercial General Liability coverage of $2,000,000 per occurrence/$4,000,000 aggregate, Commercial Automobile Liability of $2,000,000 per accident, Workers' Compensation coverage per statutory requirements, and Professional Liability/Errors & Omissions coverage of $2,000,000 per claim. All policies except Workers' Compensation and Professional Liability must name the City of West Sacramento as an additional insured at 1110 West Capitol Avenue, West Sacramento, CA 95691. Certificates of Insurance must provide thirty days' written notice to the Certificate Holder prior to cancellation or material change of coverage.
All required insurance endorsements must be attached to the Certificate of Insurance as verification of compliance. General Liability and Automobile Liability policies require Additional Insured Endorsements equivalent to CG 2010 0714, Primary and Non-Contributory Endorsements, and Separation of Insureds clauses naming the City, its officers, officials, employees, agents, and volunteers as additional insureds. Workers' Compensation policies must include a Waiver of Subrogation Endorsement in favor of the City and its representatives, or alternatively, a Workers' Compensation Waiver if the contractor is self-employed with no employees. Certificates must be submitted prior to contract award and approved by the City before work commences. This insurance requirement applies to all Standard City Contracts and supersedes the lower insurance minimums specified in the RFP summary documentation.
