Questions and Answers
SP7000-24-Q-0004
1. Question: Since the contractor will not be required to store, handle or process classified information at their facility would the Government consider changing this requirement too?
The awarded vendors assigned technicians will be sponsored by the Navy or DLA for a Secret Clearance.
This should be acceptable especially since there isn’t a requirement for a full-time onsite paid position. This would not only increase competition per the FAR but also an opportunity for the Command to experience what other vendors have to offer.
Answer: No – DLA is not willing to change the requirement. The vendor needs a facility clearance in order to provide a cleared technician (with an active clearance).
