Dover Air Force Base

PROSPECTIVE OFFEROR/CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS &

GOVERNMENT ANSWERS

June 14, 2010

Questions and Answers for Dover Air Force Base, DE SP0600-10-R-0808:

Q1: Recommend the contractor be permitted to keep some equipment on base, such as a backhoe, trench box, and truck or two, plus some repair inventory, to avoid having to go through the commercial gate in the event of an emergency. The contractor would need a garage or other space to store this equipment and some inventory. What would be available on the base?

A1: The Government may provide a reasonably-sized tract of land on-base for the UP Contractor to establish facilities to meet the contract requirements. The Offeror shall provide a description of the physical facilities and compound area required to support the utility system, and include the estimated costs in their proposal. The Government will try to make this tract of land as permanent as possible; however, changing installation mission and future base development plans may require relocation of the UP Contractor's facilities to elsewhere on the installation in the future. If the UP Contractor is required to relocate their facilities in the future, the Government will provide an alternate on-base tract of land.
