GENERAL NOTES

Engineering Services for Rural Road Rehabilitation Project

Drainage Detail: Lined Water Drains

1. All dimension are in millimeters unless otherwise specified

2. H for Lined Drains Varies from Min 400mm - 600mm but the decision on the H depth to use rests entirely with the engineer. The engineer will advise on the appropriate H in the form of a site instruction.

However as a guide H is a function of the Slope of the water channel, Flow Rate Q and roughness.

Flatter channels will tend to have bigger H size than Steeper Channels.
