About this file

This is an Amendment 02 to a federal contract solicitation (377865) consisting of potential offeror questions and answers regarding CUB Chiller Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Services.

The document clarifies key contractual requirements and scope: the proposal due date is April 10, 2026 (correcting a discrepancy in previous exhibits). Preventative maintenance (PM) services are priced separately from corrective/repair maintenance; contractors must provide separate quotes for repairs with two line items (labor rate and parts/materials). Contractors must supply all materials and parts except refrigerant, which the Lab procures and controls through its supply chain. Regarding subcontracting, a qualified and capable subcontractor may perform services, provided the subcontractor completes the majority of the work. The document also clarifies that a subcontractor is defined as the company performing the services under the contract, not a third-party vendor.

Amendment 02: 377865, CUB Chiller Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Services

Potential Offeror Questions

1. Is the proposal due date April 10th or April 6th? (Exhibit 1 vs Exhibit 8)

Proposal due date is April 10, 2026. Exhibit 8 has been corrected to reflect this and is attached to this amendment.

2. Is corrective/ repair maintenance included in the total preventative maintenance agreement cost?

No. The PM bid is basically for the Preventive Maintenance of the Chillers. If/when a repair is discovered/required; the Contractor would supply a quote with 2 line items; Labor rate and

Parts/materials.

3. When performing corrective/repair maintenance are we to provide all material and parts?

Yes, except for refrigerant. All refrigerant must ‘go through’ the Lab’s Supply chain (The Lab will order, track and control).

4. When referring to subcontracting are we referring to the company performing services for the contract or a possible third party if needed to perform tasks?

Yes, subcontractor is the company that will be performing the services.

5. Is subcontracting a qualified and capable company when bidding acceptable for this order?

The subcontractor must complete the majority of the work.
