SITE VISIT INFORMATION
The solicitation provision, FAR 52.237-1 “Site Visit” is incorporated. The site visit/survey is to eliminate any possible misunderstandings of the terms of the solicitation and for prospective bidders to familiarize themselves with the installation and types of work that are being acquired. All interested bidders are highly advised to attend this site visit. Limit visitors to two people due to limit on seating in escort vans for inside perimeter Airfield fence.
The visit will be at the vendor’s expense. Please submit, in writing, the full names and titles of attendees in advance by email to manuel.e.rosas.civ@army.mil, no later than 12:00pm PST Wednesday, 20 August 2025.
Time of Site Visit: 10:00 A.M. PST Thursday 28 August 2025 Location of Site Visit: Meet at rear of Building 7, in the Security Forces Squadron Parking lot.

From: JBLM Visitors Center, Building 849, proceed through the Gate and continue straight along Col. Joe Jackson Avenue, past HQs 62nd AW building 100. Take a left at the intersection of Col. Joe Jackson Avenue and McCarthy Boulevard. Proceed down McCarthy Boulevard, over the Clover Creek bridge, past building 22 and take the left into the Security Forces parking lot at the rear building 7, across from Hangar number 4.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) is a controlled access installation. To gain access to McChord Field visitor’s center, a visitor’s pass must be obtained from the Visitor’s Center immediately outside the main McChord Field Gate building 849, which is located at Bridgeport Way/ McChord Exit 125 off of I-5. The hours are 0500– 2200 daily. At the Visitor’s Center desk, request a 1-day pass to attend a site visit at the Security Forces Building 7 across from Hangar 4. To obtain a vehicle pass, the driver of the vehicle must present a valid driver’s license with picture, proof of current vehicle insurance, and valid vehicle registration. All passengers in the vehicle must also enter the Visitor’s Center and present a photo ID. Each passenger’s name will be entered on the vehicle pass in addition to the driver’s name. At the entrance Gate entrance, guard personnel will check the vehicle pass along with the photo IDs of the driver and all passengers Remarks and explanations at the site visit shall not qualify the terms of the solicitation and specifications. Unless the solicitation is amended in writing, it will remain unchanged. If an amendment is issued prior to the date and time set for closing, any questions must be received by the 2nd working day of the effective date of the amendment; any questions received after this period may not be answered.
In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim or adjustment after contract award. Similarly, contractors who elect not to attend the site visit will in no way be assessed unfavorably during the evaluation process.
No phones or photos of any kind are permitted at site visit.
