Quality and Creative Strategy

Methodology

PHASE I: STRATEGY & PLANNING MEETING

We will meet virtually with project staff to determine goals, expectations, timelines, expected audiences, style guides, file sharing protocol, and mode of delivery of the various deliverables. Collaborative discussion would be also done around imagery and on being mindful of the DEI principles. At this point we will also work with project staff to create a detailed timeline so that expectations are clear.

PHASE II: ASSET COLLECTION & RESEARCH

We will gather all needed assets, including content, strategic planning documents, past samples and branding resources, photos, and any other materials needed to create the designs. After the meeting, we will conduct an in-depth research study on messaging, history, culture, brand, audience, and perception before beginning the work.

PHASE III: PRESENT THEME IDEAS & CONCEPTS

This is where we will put our creative thinking caps on to develop theme ideas, design concepts and mock-ups. These will be ideas that visually express your core message, align with the research we conducted, and address your goals.

Careful consideration will be made to ensure that language, graphics, style, visuals, fonts, and other elements support the messaging and add to the appeal of the brand. We will also check to make sure the designs align with the overarching logo and branding guidelines.

PHASE IV: REFINE DESIGNS & REVISE

We will carefully check content for opportunities to use infographics, data visualization, hotos, illustrtaions, sidebars and callouts to enhance the design.

Based on edits received from the appointed stakeholders, we will adjust and finalize the designs. We will check, double-check, and prepare the designs for final execution.

PHASE V: FINAL DELIVERY

After the final sign off, we will provide print- and web-ready PDF files to the printer, as well as native source files to the staff. We will work closely with your print partner to check proofs. If added, we can also provide Section 508 remediated files for digital use.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control As a general rule, we build time for quality assurance/quality control for every project, big or small. No project is ever delivered without that important piece. We follow our quality guidelines while accounting for special client requirements, schedule considerations, and other factors. We review every deliverable to ensure it meets our high standards and approves it for release. Our rigorous quality assurance process ensures that each product is professionally crafted and executed. We have checkpoints for corrective and preventive actions throughout the process to ensure the final product meets and exceeds the client’s expectations.

Progress and Checkpoints At My House of Design, quality assurance is applied from planning to completion. Once we receive edits from the client, we address them promptly.

Prior to being sent, revisions are meticulously matched against the requests to ensure that no edits are missed and that no errors were introduced at the editing stage. An update is then sent to the client with the requested attachment. For a larger project, e also submit a weekly status report (or conduct a check in meeting) to keep the project on track. A sample report is below:

WEEKLY STATUS REPORT

Changes to Schedule Note any major changes that have been made to the project schedule. This could either be due to issues with the project or due to decisions of the PM and/ or team.
