About this file
This is an internal policy document issued by a sheriff's department establishing dress code standards for non-uniformed employees. The policy, numbered S225 and effective as of August 2015, outlines mandatory professional attire requirements for all non-uniformed personnel within the department. The policy prohibits specific clothing items including sweatshirts, athletic clothing, mini-skirts, beach shoes, halter tops, sneakers, and spandex, while requiring that employees maintain neat, well-groomed appearance appropriate to their work environment. Supervisors within respective areas are responsible for enforcing compliance with these standards, though the Superintendent or designee retains final approval authority on acceptable clothing items.
This policy document contains no information regarding contract pricing, set-asides, funding sources, or procurement terms. It is an administrative personnel policy rather than a contract opportunity or solicitation document. The policy reserves the right for the department to amend provisions at any time and directs employees with questions about dress code standards to consult their immediate supervisors for guidance on application within specific work areas.
