The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville Kentucky has a requirement for an electrical contractor to provide all labor, material, equipment and expert supervision needed to upgrade the 480V electrical system for building 1. It is the intent to install a new outdoor 480V transformer to feed the 480V switchgear in sub-basement 1, to correct wiring deficiencies for CAT Scan rooms, and to move the electrical feeds for several air handlers and their associated chilled water pumps and controls to emergency power circuits.
Contractor shall prepare and get VA COR approval for a phasing plan to minimize the number and duration of electrical outages. To minimize disruption to hospital operations work may need to be completed outside of normal business hours such as evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
At the completion of the project the contractor will provide drawings in AutoCAD 2013 format and operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals in Microsoft Word and PDF formats. The contractor will provide to the VA four CDs with all drawings and O&M manuals and four sets of drawings at completion of design. A future site visit will be made by appointment with COR and contractors to verify existing conditions.
NAICS Code 238210 is applicable to this procurement. The small business size standard is $16.5M. The Product Service Code (PSC) is Z1DB.
The magnitude range of construction for this procurement action is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
This procurement will be procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15 as a Lowest Price Technically Source Selection. The solicitation will be available for download on or by April 30, 2021. No questions or RFI’s will be entertained until the posting of the solicitation.
This procurement is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concern under the authority 38 U.S.C section 8127 (d).
