About this file

This is a Davis-Bacon Act wage determination (IL20240011, Modification #17) for heavy and highway construction projects in Boone, De Kalb, Du Page, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will Counties in Illinois, effective November 15, 2024. The wage determination establishes prevailing wage rates for various construction trades including carpenters, electricians, ironworkers, laborers, painters, cement masons, truck drivers and welders. The document specifies minimum wage rates, benefits, and classifications for each trade, such as carpenters earning $52.01/hour for heavy & highway work in DuPage and Lake Counties, and electricians earning $55.99/hour in northern Kane and McHenry Counties.

The determination includes detailed classification descriptions and additional pay requirements like premium pay for crane operators working with long booms, underground work premiums, and hazardous waste handling differentials. It specifies that contractors must provide 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked (up to 56 hours annually) under Executive Order 13706. The document outlines vacation benefits based on years of service and lists paid holidays. This wage determination would apply to federal construction contracts subject to the Davis-Bacon Act in the specified Illinois counties.
