About this file

This document outlines infection control requirements for a construction project to replace a chemical analyzer at the Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah, Wisconsin. The project involves renovations to laboratory spaces that will require infection control precautions of Classes I through IV depending on the construction activity and patient risk groups affected. Precautions include isolating HVAC systems, erecting barriers, maintaining negative air pressure, controlling dust, proper waste removal, decontamination procedures and more. Facility staff must approve infection control permits for high risk construction.
