VA has been providing COTS hearing aid parts and accessories to eligible Veterans and beneficiaries of other government agencies (OGA), specifically the Department of Defense and Indian Health Affairs, for multiple years. The need for COTS hearing aid parts and accessories is to support hearing aid devices for Veterans has increased steadily over the years. To meet the increasing demand with the highest level of technology at the lowest prices, VHA National Audiology and Speech Pathology Service Program Office (ASPS) has worked in conjunction with DLS/CSAS to develop contracts for parts and accessories for hearing devices that provide the best value.

The Government has provided an information copy of the QASP, located in

Attachment 3. The Government is providing this copy to support the Contractor’s efforts in developing a QCP and for providing the opportunity to comment and propose innovative solutions to the Government. The QASP is a living document the Government will revise or modify as circumstances warrant.

VA reserves the right to conduct on site inspections of contractor and subcontractor IT resources to ensure data security controls, separation of data and job duties, and destruction/media sanitization procedures are in compliance with VA directive requirements.
