About this file
This is Addendum 3 to RFP 22-100 issued by the Jones County Board of Commissioners in Georgia for the construction of asphalt walkways at Morris Bank Recreation Complex located at 146 Recreation Road, Gray, Georgia. The project scope encompasses approximately 3,240 linear feet of 10-foot-wide asphalt walkways, including resurfacing of existing pathways and construction of a new 110-foot walkway connecting the concession stand to the existing pathway system. An Add Alternate #1 option provides for paving a 4,800-square-foot patio area at the concession stand, requiring separate pricing submissions for the base bid and alternate. Sealed bids were due by 3:00 PM on Monday, April 11, 2022, with opening and public reading scheduled at the Government Center Conference Room, 166 Industrial Boulevard, Gray, Georgia 31032. Site visits were available by contacting Parks and Recreation at 478-845-8177. Work must be completed within 60 days from notice to proceed, with daily work hours ending by 5:00 PM, no Saturday work permitted, and Sunday work only if scheduled in advance. Bid packages were available at www.jonescountyga.org, with questions directed to Julie Happoldt at Julie.Happoldt@jonescountyga.org.
Bidders were required to submit three references from similar projects completed within the past five years and provide subcontractor information and references if applicable. All contractors and subcontractors must carry Commercial General Liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million general aggregate, along with Workers' Compensation insurance at statutory limits. Prior to work commencement, all contractors and subcontractors were required to submit E-Verify affidavits and County Public Benefit Applications. Proposals were treated as best and final with no opportunity for fee negotiation. The Jones County Board of Commissioners reserved the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor irregularities, or select the bid determined to be in the best interest of the county. The project has since been cancelled and was not awarded.
