About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) Appendix detailing draft Mission Profiles for the Undergraduate Jet Training System (UJTS) for the Department of the Navy. The mission profiles comprehensively outline 10 distinct flight scenarios, including Familiarization Flight, Instrument Flight, Formation Flight, Air-to-Air Flight (Basic Fighter Maneuvers), Air-to-Air Flight (Fighter Intercepts), Air-to-Ground Flights, Low Level Navigation, Formation Lead, and Air-to-Air Bandit Flight. Each profile provides granular details on mission objectives, specific flight segments, thrust levels, altitudes, airspeeds, and total mission times, with most missions ranging between 45-125 minutes and consistently including 30 minutes of reserve fuel at sea level.
The RFI is part of ongoing market research for the UJTS program, with this specific document dated 31 March 2025. While not a formal solicitation, the RFI indicates the Navy is gathering information about potential training system capabilities. The document is marked for public release with unlimited distribution and includes multiple attachments, some of which contain controlled unclassified information (CUI) accessible only to qualified contractors. Interested parties must have appropriate safeguarding procedures and may need to submit a non-disclosure agreement to access full details. The Navy emphasizes that this RFI does not guarantee a future contract and respondents will not be compensated for information submitted.
