About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for the Undergraduate Jet Training System (UJTS) Fielding issued by the Department of the Navy Program Executive Office PMA-273 Naval Air Systems Command. The UJTS program has two primary goals: accelerating Initial Operational Capability and improving training quality. The Navy expects to release a Draft RFP in late January 2026 and the full RFP in late February 2026, with a projected contract award in the second quarter of FY2027. The RFP will cover Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) and procurement of the first Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) aircraft, with potential for up to two EMD contracts.
The anticipated aircraft production schedule includes 7 aircraft in LRIP 1, 12 aircraft in LRIP 2, 20 aircraft in LRIP 3, and 25 aircraft per year in Full Rate Production, totaling approximately 216 aircraft. The contractor will be required to perform a flight Operations Program achieving approximately 35 flight hours per month per aircraft for a 12-month period. Interested parties must contact the Procuring Contracting Officer Thomas Conrow or Contract Specialist Brandon Rider to receive additional controlled unclassified information documents. Responses should be submitted electronically, with proprietary information clearly marked, and no classified documents included.
