About this file
This is a set of engineering plans from Virginia Energy's Mined Land Repurposing division for the Pepperhill Road Drainage Project located in Coeburn, Virginia. The project involves drainage improvements including the installation of three culverts, erosion control measures, and addressing a slide area. The plans consist of six sheets showing the site plan, slide area details, drainage profiles, and construction specifications. Key components include replacing Culvert #1 with 15" HDPE pipe, cleaning out Culverts #2 and #3, installing straw matting for erosion control, and placing riprap buttress in the slide area.
The technical drawings show detailed specifications for culvert installations, erosion control measures using rolled erosion control products (RECPs), and drainage profiles. The site contains existing infrastructure including a residential water line, septic tank, and access road that must be protected during construction. Three elevation profiles (A-A', B-B', and C-C') demonstrate the existing ground conditions and planned temporary anchor trenches for straw blanket installation. The plans include specific requirements for staple patterns, material specifications, and installation methods for the erosion control measures.
