About this file
This file contains permit drawings for theater lighting renovations at Palm Harbor University High School in Palm Harbor, Florida, prepared for the Pinellas County School District. The drawings, dated January 29, 2026, include eight detailed sheets covering electrical plans, auditorium lighting demolition and installation plans, projection power systems, theater lighting controls, and projector mounting specifications. These technical drawings support the District's sealed bid solicitation for Theater Lighting Renovations across three high school locations (Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport, East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, and Palm Harbor University High School). Sealed electronic bids are due by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, through the District's OpenGov e-Procurement Portal. Mandatory pre-bid conferences are scheduled for February 24, 2026, with the Palm Harbor University location meeting at 10:30 a.m. The District will evaluate bids between March 11-13, 2026, with a Notice of Intent to Award posted on or about April 10, 2026, and School Board approval estimated for April 14, 2026. The contract period commences upon Notice to Proceed and ends by July 31, 2026, not to exceed 120 days.
The total contract value is approximately $1,680,000 for all three locations combined, with a $50,000 contingency included as a separate line item for each location with no markup. Qualified bidders must be currently licensed Florida Electrical Contractors (EC) or Electrical Specialists (ES), demonstrate five continuous years of operation under the same legal entity, and provide documented evidence of performing electrical work in theatrical spaces on a minimum of two projects within the last five years. All subcontractors must meet similar licensing and experience requirements and must be selected from an approved theatrical subcontractor list including Mainstage Theatrical, Barbizon Lighting, and Candela Controls. Contractor markups are limited to 10% on actual costs with subcontractor markups limited to 5%. All work must comply with Florida Building Code State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), NFPA standards, UL standards, the National Electric Code, and OSHA standards. General Liability Insurance limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $5,000,000 general aggregate are required. Liquidated damages are assessed at $1,000 per calendar day for failure to meet the completion deadline, and all materials and equipment shall carry manufacturers' standard warranties with work warranted free from defects for one year from final completion.
