About this file
This is an Addendum #1 document dated March 5, 2026, issued by the Pinellas County School District for the Palm Harbor University High School Theater Lighting Renovations project (MPS Job #25070). The addendum revises the electrical plans and specifications for the project, which is one of three high school locations included in the overall Theater Lighting Renovations solicitation. Key revisions include clarification on sheet E3 regarding the quantity of moving head fixtures and mounting structure requirements, modification of the training requirement from one 8-hour session to two separate 4-hour training sessions on different days, and revision of Specification Section 26_55_61 to add three additional preapproved theatrical subcontractors: Solotech (Orlando, FL, 407.816.9400), Christie Lites Sales (Orlando, FL, 407.214.1608), and Murphy Lighting Systems (Orlando, FL, 800-511-8445). The sealed electronic bids for the overall project were originally due by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, with mandatory pre-bid conferences held on February 24, 2026. Contract work must commence upon Notice to Proceed and be completed by July 31, 2026, not to exceed 120 days, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day for failure to meet the completion deadline.
The contract covers Theater Lighting Renovations across three high school locations with a total project value of approximately $1,680,000 combined, including a $50,000 contingency for each location with no markup. Bidders must be currently licensed Florida Electrical Contractors or Electrical Specialists with five continuous years of operation under the same legal entity and documented evidence of performing electrical work in theatrical spaces on a minimum of two projects within the last five years. All subcontractors must meet similar licensing and experience requirements and be selected from the District's preapproved theatrical subcontractors list. General Liability Insurance limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $5,000,000 general aggregate are required, with the School Board listed as an additional insured. Contractor markups are limited to 10% on actual costs and subcontractor markups to 5%. All materials and equipment must carry manufacturers' standard warranties with work warranted free from defects for one year from final completion, and replacement parts must be available for five years post-delivery.
