About this file

This is Appendix E to a federal contract solicitation establishing requirements for support equipment installation and demolition work at Pittsburgh Air National Guard Base, Building 110. The work is governed by CSN NPT501, with an effective date of March 19, 2026, and is assigned contract number FA860426RB011.

The appendix specifies installation of three primary support equipment items: twenty-four (24) flow-through racks constructed of steel with rust-resistant coating and lockable casters; six hundred fifty (650) plastic storage bins measuring 23.5" x 15.5" x 12" in weather-resistant polyurethane; and eleven (11) steel pipe racks with powder coat or painted finish. Equipment location and configuration requirements are detailed on Air Force Drawings NPT501-01 and NPT501-02. Concurrent with installation, the contractor must perform extensive demolition work including removal of a modular office (walls, ceiling, flooring, electrical components), existing pallet racks, and non-load bearing walls, followed by floor and wall repairs to match surrounding areas. All fire safety and suppression components must be removed and reinstalled in accordance with on-base fire personnel. Quality assurance requirements include system inspections and two functional load tests: gravity flow-through racks loaded to capacity for 24 hours and pipe racks loaded to capacity for 24 hours, with any permanent deformation constituting test failure. All work must be completed in accordance with the cover purchase description and referenced Air Force drawings.
