1 INTRODUCTION

This document is the Wide Field Infrared Survey Telescope (WFIRST) Wide Field Instrument (WFI) Opto-Mechanical Assembly (WOMA) Deliverable Items List and Schedule (DILS). This document provides specific information on the hardware and data deliverables for the WOMA.

1.1 Proprietary Data

Some of the content of documents may be of a proprietary nature to the document preparing/sending Party. In the event data is deemed to be proprietary, and for which protection is to be maintained, the sending Party shall mark the document with a notice to indicate that the data therein is proprietary and shall be used and disclosed by the receiving Party and its related entities (e.g., contractors and subcontractors) only for the purposes of fulfilling the receiving Party’s responsibilities under the WFIRST Project, and that the identified and marked technical data shall not be disclosed or retransferred to any other entity without prior written permission of the document preparer.

1.2 Applicable Documents

The documents listed in Table 1 apply directly to the performance of the WOMA contract. These documents establish detailed information necessary for the creation of the deliverables.

For traceability, each Applicable Document in Table 1 shall be traced down one level only: any applicable documents within the documents listed in Table 1 are considered as applying directly to the performance of the WOMA contract. For example, the WFIRST MAR (WFIRST-RQMT- 05819) lists NASA Procedural Requirements (NPR) 7150.2 as an applicable document.

Therefore, NPR 7150.2 is an applicable document with respect to this DILS. However, the documents listed in Section P.4 of NPR 7150.2 are not considered Applicable Documents for the purposes of this DILS.

The MAR is an Applicable Document; all the deliverables therein shall be delivered as described.

3 DELIVERABLE ITEM DESCRIPTIONS

3.1 Cold Sensing Module (CSM) Harness Mock-up Structure

Title: Cold Sensing Module (CSM) Harness Mock-up Structure CDRL No.: HW-1 SOW Paragraph: 9.4-A Description:

Three-dimensional, full-scale, non-flight template for laying and routing harnesses.

Applicable Documents: None Reference Documents: None

3.2 WOMA Interface Alignment Tool (WIAT)

Title: WOMA Interface Alignment Tool (WIAT) CDRL No.: HW-2 SOW Paragraph: 9.4-A Description:

This tool will be used to transfer the alignment from the Surrogate WFC FPA to the Flight WFC FPA. The WIAT must mimic the WOMA side of the interface.

The WIAT shall have mechanical interfaces to the WFC FPA that match those of the flight WOMA within 0.25 mm absolute position in all three WFC FPA Mounting Reference Frame axes and 0.10 degrees absolute angle about all three Mounting Reference Frame axes. This ensures that the alignment transfer from the surrogate to the flight WFC FPA is valid. Because the interface is kinematic, alignment can be preserved and transferred without tight tolerances.

The WOMA Interface Alignment Tool shall include metrology features necessary to transfer the alignment from the Surrogate WFC FPA to the Flight WFC FPA. The WIAT will be used to transfer the alignment from the surrogate to the flight WFC FPA. The design features used for metrology must be acceptable for both sides of the interface and the specific characteristics required to accomplish this will be agreed upon by the WFC FPA and WOMA providers.

Applicable Documents: WFIRST-RQMT-08051 WOMA Requirements Document

(WOMARD)

3.3 WOMA Integral Field Channel (IFC) Interface Alignment Tool (WIFCIAT)

Title: WOMA Integral Field Channel (IFC) Interface Alignment Tool

(WIFCIAT)

CDRL No.: HW-3

SOW Paragraph: 9.4-A

Description:

This tool will be used to transfer the alignment from the IFC Simulator to the Flight IFC. The WIFCIAT shall mimic the WOMA side of the interface.

The WIFCIAT shall accommodate GSE alignment adjustment aids to enable fine adjustment of the IFC Opto-Mechanical Assembly (IOMA) alignment while installed in the WOMA.

The WIFCIAT shall have mechanical interfaces to the IOMA that match those of the flight WOMA within 0.25 mm absolute position in all three IOMA Mounting Reference Frame axes and 0.10 degrees absolute angle about all three Mounting Reference Frame axes. This ensures that the alignment transfer from the surrogate to the flight IFC is valid.

The WIFCIAT shall include metrology features necessary to transfer the alignment from the IOMA simulator to the Flight IOMA.
