About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract N6426726Q5012 addressing clarifications regarding audiovisual installation requirements for two training rooms (Rooms B201/4W-333 and 4W-334), collectively known as the TANC Split rooms.

The document clarifies that the rooms currently contain only mobile furniture and equipment on wheels, with no permanent installations except alarm system components. The Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) is stored off-site and awaiting installation under this contract. Key technical specifications include wall construction of double 5/8" drywall, display cabling and power penetrations positioned at 71" height to fall behind the top half of displays, and display mounts classified as Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) per SOW Table 1. The rooms are designed to operate in both split configuration with an acoustic curtain drawn and combined configuration with the curtain stored, requiring cross-connection of the two normally independent audiovisual control systems so a single input on either system can reach all displays in the combined space. The Government indicated no further room modifications will be made and directed respondents to review the complete solicitation for all specific hardware requirements, wall requirements, and design specifications.

N6426726Q5012 Questions and Answers

1. Can the Government provide any available architectural drawings, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, room dimensions, elevations, and furniture layouts for Rooms 4W-333 and 4W-334?

Answer: Rooms B201/4W-333 and 334 (collectively known as the TANC Split rooms) have only a mobile 65” display/webcam cart and 6 mobile 72x30” training tables per room, plus chairs and side chairs. Everything is on rollers/wheels.

2. The GFE equipment referenced, are they currently installed in the room?

Answer: Nothing is permanently installed in the room except the required alarm system components, etc. We are waiting on this contract package for permanent AV installation. We have the GFE equipment for these rooms in B201 storerooms.

3. The package identifies display locations but not mounting heights or mount types. Please confirm whether display mounts will be Government Furnished or Contractor Furnished and provide desired mounting heights/elevations.

Answer: The existing wall penetrations for display cabling and power are set to fall behind the top half of the displays at 71.” The Installation Hardware Package (SOW 3.1.1) containing display mounts, among other specified items, is CFE per SOW Table 1.

4. Since the room is divided by a security curtain, is there ever a need to have the room function as one combined space? Or is this a permanent A room and B room situation.

Answer: The TANC Split rooms are designed to operate in both split configuration (acoustic curtain drawn) and single room configuration (acoustic curtain stored). There are requirements (SOW 3.1.2) to cross-connect the two normally independent AV control systems such that a single input on either system can get to all displays in the combined space.

5. What are the type of wall construction materials?

Answer: Double 5/8” drywall

6. Is power being provided on the wall opposite the doors?

Answer: No further changes are being made to the room. Review the solicitation for the requirements of the wall in question.

7. Are any additional sensors being requested?

Answer: Review the solicitation for all hardware requirements.
