About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Split Air Conditioning Systems Upgrade on the Berthing Barge YRBM-57. The project requires the contractor to provide all necessary tools, labor, and materials to modify and install new split AC systems in multiple locations throughout the barge, including the Mechanical Room, Stair Towers, Electrical Room, CHT Equipment Room, Rec Storeroom, and the 03 Level exterior. Key requirements include removing obsolete fan foundations, ducts, and support brackets, installing new split AC unit assemblies, performing operational and leak tests, and installing new insulation with stainless steel sheet metal jacketing.

The work must be completed in accordance with various referenced technical standards and manufacturer instructions, with stringent testing requirements. Specific tasks include air hose testing of new inserts and penetrations, testing the refrigerant oil system, conducting Test and Balance for HVAC systems (with a maximum air flow deviation of +/- 10 percent), and turning over obsolete equipment to the Barge Maintenance Program. The project involves electrical and mechanical installation of new split AC units, with no allowable leakage and a requirement to submit documentation of refrigerant charges. The document is marked as export-controlled under ITAR and is dated for revision on 19 FEB 2025.
