About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Split Air Conditioning Systems Upgrade project for the YRBM(L) 57 Berthing Barge. The work involves installing six new 250-ton capacity air conditioning plants manufactured by York International Corporation across multiple locations including mechanical rooms, stair towers, electrical rooms, and equipment rooms. The contractor is required to provide all necessary tools, labor, and materials to complete the installation, with specific requirements including removing obsolete equipment, performing air hose tests, testing the refrigerant oil system, conducting operational and leak tests, and installing new insulation and stainless steel sheet metal jacketing.
Key technical specifications include replacing six air conditioning plants with single-stage compressors, ensuring no removal of existing equipment until new materials are on-site, removing obsolete fan foundations and HVAC support brackets, and performing comprehensive testing with zero allowable defects. The work must comply with various referenced standards and manufacturer instructions, with a focus on maintaining optimal performance parameters and properly insulating and sealing new refrigerant piping. The project is scheduled for completion by February 19, 2025, and involves modifications throughout the barge's different compartments and levels.
