About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document from a Performance Work Statement (PWS) solicitation addressing equipment reuse and system configuration requirements for a conference room upgrade.
The Government has identified specific equipment for mandatory reuse, including a Cisco CTS-C40-K9 VTC codec, Cisco TTC8-02 TelePresence Precision HD Camera, Logitech PTZ Pro 2 camera, AMX MXT-1000 tabletop touch panel, AMX DGX1600-ENC Enova Digital Media Switcher with integrated AMX controller, and the existing equipment rack. The room currently supports dual NIPRNet and SIPRNet presentation capability maintained as separate environments through an Avocent SwitchView SC4 UAD KVM Switch, though contractors are not required to retain this specific manufacturer or model—only to provide compliant solutions maintaining network separation. The facility features a suspended drop-tile ceiling. Critical to contractors' proposals is that the Government does not possess existing control-system source files, configuration files, programming credentials, passwords, or software licenses for the current system. Contractors must therefore plan for complete programming and configuration of the touch panel and control processor in their technical approaches rather than relying on legacy documentation. Photographs of the existing conference room and equipment are available in solicitation amendment 0002.

Question # PWS Section Question Response
16 Are pictures available of the space and existing equipment?
Yes. Photographs of the existing conference room and equipment are attached to the solicitation amendment 0002.
17 Is there a list of gear that needs to be utilized again?
Yes. The existing Government-furnished equipment identified for reuse includes the Cisco CTS-C40-K9 VTC codec, Cisco TTC8-02
TelePresence Precision HD Camera, Logitech PTZ Pro 2 (V-
U0035), AMX MXT-1000 touch panel, AMX DGX1600-ENC with integrated AMX controller, and the existing equipment rack.
Other legacy equipment is not required to be reused unless necessary to support the offeror’s accepted technical approach.
What is the touch panel and control processor that is to be utilized again?
(Clin 003 1)
Touch Panel: AMX MXT-1000 Modero X 10.1-inch tabletop touch panel. Control Processor: integrated AMX controller within the
AMX DGX1600-ENC Enova Digital Media Switcher.
19 Is the current system already set up as NIPR/SIPR?
Yes. The room currently supports NIPRNet and SIPRNet presentation capability from the designated workstation/operator location. NIPRNet and SIPRNet remain separate environments.
What is the current NIPR/SIPR switching capabilities? (Manufacturer and model) Does the customer want this manufacturer once again?
The existing workstation utilizes an Avocent SwitchView SC4
UAD KVM Switch for workstation/source switching. The
Government does not require the proposed solution to use the same manufacturer or model. The contractor may propose an appropriate compliant solution that provides the required NIPRNet/SIPRNet presentation connectivity while maintaining separation between the networks.
21 What kind of ceiling is in the room? (Drop tile?) The room has a suspended/drop-tile ceiling.
22 Is there an existing rack? Can a picture be supplied?
Yes. An existing equipment rack is present and is intended to remain in place for reuse under this requirement. Photographs are attached to the solicitation amendment 0002.
Is the existing control code available for the control processor and touch panel?
No. The Government does not have the existing control-system source files, configuration files, programming credentials/passwords, or software licenses for the current system.
Offerors should not assume that existing programming files or credentials will be provided and should account for the programming and configuration required by the PWS in their technical approach.
