SECTION 33 52 11
FUELING FACILITY UTILITY ENCLOSURE
04/19
PART 1 GENERAL
1.1 SUMMARY
This section defines the requirements for a pre-fabricated metal utility enclosure that serves the fueling receiving facility where fuel tanker trucks unload diesel fuel marine (DFM) to underground fuel storage tanks UST-1 and UST-2.

1.3 RELATED REQUIREMENTS
Section 26 00 00.00 20 BASIC ELECTRICAL MATERIALS AND METHODS and Section 26 08 00 APPARATUS INSPECTION AND TESTING apply to this section, with the additions and modifications specified herein.
1.4 SUBMITTALS
Government approval is required for submittals with a "G" designation;
submittals not having a "G" designation are for Contractor Quality Control approval. Submit the following in accordance with Section 01 33 00

1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE
1.5.1 Utility Enclosure Drawings
Prior to fabrication, submit shop drawings for the utility enclosure.
Submit utility enclosure design drawings, calculations, and specifications stamped by professional engineers registered in the State of Washington.
a. Submit seismic design and calculations sealed and signed by a registered structural engineer.
b. Floor plans, elevations, and details showing architectural and structural components including roof panels, wall panels, man doors, gables, eave trim, gutters, downspouts, girders, columns, purlins, girts, steel bracing, column base plates, anchors, hardware, insulation, and weather sealing. Include penetration sealing details.
Include finish details. Include template for anchor bolt installation.
c. Floor plans, elevations, and details showing mechanical components including ventilators, louvers, fans, heaters, thermostats, and controllers.
d. Floor plans, elevations, and details showing electrical components including lighting, switches, and receptacles.
1.5.2 Utility Enclosure Product Data
Prior to fabrication, submit manufacturer's product data for the utility enclosure.
a. Architectural and structural components including but not limited to wall panels, man doors, gables, eave trim, gutters, downspouts, girders, columns, purlins, girts, steel bracing, column base plates, anchors, and hardware. Include drawings showing floor joists and primary foundation support locations coordinated with the final structural floor slab details for supporting the enclosure.
b. Sealants and flashings.
c. Finishes.
d. Ventilators.
e. Louvers and dampers.

f. Fans.
g. Heaters.
h. Man doors and hardware.
i. Thermostats.
j. Controllers.
k. Luminaires.
l. Receptacles.
m. Switches.
1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
Comply with the requirements of Division 01 and the following:
a. Pay for shipping, handling, loading, lifting, rigging, permits, and unloading costs from the point of manufacture to the point of installation, including Contractor's off-site storage facility.
b. Utility enclosure manufacturer shall have representatives to supervise loading, unloading, and storage at each point of loading, unloading, and storage.
c. Coordinate the maximum shipping dimensions and weights of the utility enclosure and systems with the physical characteristics and regulatory restrictions of the roadways from the point of manufacturer to the point of installation. Obtain and pay for all regulatory licenses, escorts, and permits. Coordinate with the Contracting Officer for specific delivery requirements.
d. Provide vibration and impact recorders on each section susceptible to shock and vibration damage. Record counters prior to and after delivery. Submit counters to the Contracting Officer for inspection upon request.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.1 PREFABRICATED UTILITY ENCLOSURE
Provide a prefabricated utility enclosure including structural steel framed base, metal enclosure walls, panels, doors, roof, frame, gutters, overhang, structural steel skid and supporting interior power, lighting, heating, and related equipment. enclosure shall be complete, tested, and ready for operation prior to shipment and after installation at the site.
2.1.1 Enclosure
The enclosure shall be a fabricated of ASTM A167 Type 304 or 304L Stainless Steel with interior and exterior surfaces painted with high-performance epoxy coatings per Section 09 96 00 HIGH PERFORMANCE
COATINGS.

2.1.2 Doors
The utility enclosure doors shall be double wall, 16 gauge ASTM A167 Type 316L stainless steel with keyed locking latch hardware. Maximum deflection shall be 0.062 inch across the width and 0.0125 across the height. Personnel doors shall be 84 inches tall. Width shall be as indicated. Provide door louvers as indicated.
2.1.3 Design Load
Design enclosure in accordance with ICC IBC :
a. Roof live load shall be calculated in accordance with the IBC.
b. Roof snow load: 25 psf minimum.
c. Wind loading: Based on 110 mph Basic Wind Speed, Exposure C, Category
IV.
d. Seismic loading: Risk Category IV. Refer to the Structural drawings for design criteria and site information.
2.1.4 Framing
Provide rigid frame type construction, with self-framing vertical walls and standing seam gable roof with maximum panel widths of 16 inches. Roof slope shall be a minimum of 1 to 12. Design framed openings structurally.
2.1.5 Roof, Wall, and Ceiling Panels
a. Exterior panels to be 12 gauge (.105") minimum.
b. Interior panels to be 18 gauge (.048") minimum.
c. Flashing to be 16 gauge (.060") minimum and sealed.
d. Standing seam roof interlocking rib height shall be not less than 2.5 inches and shall be sealed.
e. Insulation in the cores of the roof and wall panels shall be asbestos-free composition and provide insulation values as indicated on drawings.
f. Wall framing must be designed to provide attachment framing and to support wall-mounted electrical panels, equipment, control panels, etc., as indicated on the plans.
2.1.6 Heating and Ventilation
The enclosure Equipment Room shall be provided with heating and ventilation systems having all components necessary to maintain the indoor environmental conditions above 40 degrees F in winter and below 100 degrees F in summer. Use 100 percent outdoor air for cooling. The total design load for the system shall include infiltration, ventilation load and the heat generated by the equipment within the enclosure. The drawings indicate heating and ventilating design components which may be used. All exterior electrical apparatus of the HVAC system shall be tamper proof.

The enclosure Filter Room shall be provided with a heating system and natural ventilation systems having all components necessary to maintain the indoor environmental conditions above 40 degrees F in winter. The drawings indicate heating and and the use of high and low wall louvers for continuous natural ventilation of about 80 CFM, which may be used for heating and ventilation.
Outdoor ambient conditions used in calculations and equipment selection shall be based on the following outdoor design conditions:
a. Cooling Design Dry Bulb Design Temperature: 92 degrees F dry bulb.
b. Heating Design (Median of Extreme Lows): 21 degrees F dry bulb. Indoor design conditions shall be 90 degrees F for freeze protection.
Provide ventilation ducts through walls as indicated. Seal around penetrations. Ductwork shall be constructed, supported, and braced per SMACNA standards. All electrical components must be explosion-proof construction.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.1 INSTALLATION
Installations shall conform to IEEE C2 , NFPA 70 , and to the requirements specified herein.
3.1.1 Utility Enclosure
Securely mount enclosure on concrete slab on grade as recommended by enclosure manufacturer.
