About this file
This document is a design revision for a construction project to replace the H Substation (LAG-105) at Naval Station Norfolk. The design revision includes updated drawings and specifications for the project, which involves demolition of the existing substation and installation of new 15kV switches, pad-mounted transformers, and related electrical infrastructure. The work must be scheduled carefully to minimize disruption to ongoing operations, and requires approval for any interruptions to utility services. The solicitation for this design-bid-build project is limited to contractors holding specific IDIQ contracts with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. Key requirements include providing materials and equipment prior to commencing work, conducting work outside of normal hours as needed, and following quality control and safety protocols. The document provides detailed revisions to various sections of the project specifications.
