PPI#4

QUESTION: Spec section 08 51 13, Aluminum windows, 1.8.5.1 states that this is North-Central climate zone 4 with a U-value of 0.36. This is incorrect, as this project is located within South-Central climate zone 3. Please provide clarification.

RESPONSE: Use fenestration performance values from ASHRAE 90.1-2016 for climate zone 3A (per

ASHRAE 169).

PPI#5

QUESTION: Please clarify panel profile for metal wall panels, soffit panels, and perforated panels RESPONSE: 07 42 13 1.3 calls for 'panel profiles to match length, height, and depth profile as terracotta panels. Refer to 07 42 29 TERRACOTTA RAIN SCREEN for full product description'. 07 42 29 2.2 specifies terracotta panels to have a length of 60 inches, height of 15.75 inches, and thickness of 1.18 inches. 07 42 13 2.2.2.5 specifies metal panels to match approved terracotta panel finish while 07 42 29 2.1.6 specifies terracotta panels are to 'closely match Federal Standard 2778 from manufacturer's standard color. Once final selection of terracota panels has been approved metal panels are to be finished to match that of the terracotta. Refer also to Exterior Finish Legend for exterior cladding on A-201. Soffits and ceilings where shown in the drawings are to comply with 09 54 23, refer to 2.1.1 Metal Panel Units for profile and finish. 05 72 00 refers to the mechanical screen assembly; see 2.2.5 2.2.6 for requirements.
