About this file

This amendment modifies a solicitation for a design-build-bid project at Naval Station Norfolk to repair a runway and install instrument landing system equipment. The amendment provides responses to 15 pre-proposal inquiries, clarifying aspects of the work such as the depth of existing pavement, use of stainless steel or ceramic-coated bolts for fixtures, and protection of lights during milling and paving operations. A design revision attached adds notes on pavement sections, manhole adjustments, and bolt specifications. The related federal contract opportunity is a full and open competition solicitation by the Navy to repair a limited-use area runway and support instrument landing system installation through demolition, site preparation, construction, pavement and signage work. The period of performance is June through December 2020.
