Hard, fresh to highly weathered, light gray, aphanitic to fine-grained PHYLLITE.

Primary joint set is high angle, close to moderate, rough, planar, mostly tight with calcareous infilling. Secondary joint set is dipping horizontal to low angle, very close to moderate, rough, planar, calcareous infilling with soil infilling at 39.8 ft depth.

Tertiary joint set is dipping vertical, close to wide, rough, planar, mostly tight with calcareous infilling. Frequent 1 to 3 mm thick quartz stringers throughout core.

Hard, fresh to slightly weathered, light gray, aphanitic to fine-grained PHYLLITE.

Primary joint set is dipping high angle, only present at 47.5 ft depth, smooth to rough, planar, mostly tight with calcareous infilling. Secondary joint set dipping low angle, close to wide, rough, planar, tight to open with calcareous infilling. No tertiary joint set present. Frequent 1 to 5 mm thick quartz stringers throughout core.

-KITTERY FORMATION-

Hard, fresh to slightly weathered, light gray, aphanitic to fine-grained PHYLLITE.

Primary joint set is dipping high angle, close to moderate, rough, planar, mostly tight with calcareous infilling. Secondary joint set dipping horizontal to low angle, very close to moderate, rough, planar, mostly open with calcareous infilling. Frequent 1 to 3 mm thick quartz stringers throughout core.

Note: Core run C3 first attempt lost the end 2 in. of the core barrel, mostly the diamond cutting steel, by sheering it off. The second attempt at core run C3 retrieved the diamonds from the first attempt which in turn upset the quality of the core run. The RQD is most likely artificially lower than it should be due to retrieving the diamond pieces of the previous core barrel tip.

C4: Hard, fresh to slightly weathered, light gray, aphanitic to fine-grained PHYLLITE.

Primary joint set dipping moderate to high angle, close to moderate, rough, planar, mostly tight with calcareous and chalcopyrite infilling. Secondary joint set dipping horizontal to low angle, close to moderate, rough, planar, mostly right with calcareous and chalcopyrite infilling. Frequent 1 to 5 mm thick quartz stringers throughout core.

C5: Hard, fresh to slightly weathered, light gray, aphanitic to fine-grained PHYLLITE.

Primary joint set is dipping high angle, only present at 56.2 ft depth, rough, planar, calcareous infilling. Secondary joint set dipping horizontal to low angle, close to wide, rough, planar, very minor soil infilling, calcareous infilling. Frequent 1 to 5 mm thick quartz stringers throughout core. Quartz zone only present from 55.1 to

55.2 ft depth.

Note: Performed packer tests from 35 to 43 ft and 43 to 48 ft.
