About this file

This is a Government Pre-Award Inquiry Form containing three questions and answers related to solicitation N4008425B5403 for Indoor Small Arms Range (ISAR) Cleaning and Maintenance services at U.S. Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan.

The document clarifies that there is no maximum page limit for the technical proposal, and contractors must respond to each item within the ELINs and solicitation provisions. Past performance is the only technical factor being considered, and the SF1449 will be amended to remove mentions of other technical factors. The government confirms that replacement of shooting range targeting system rails with bullet marks is not anticipated as part of this project. Regarding deliverable submission deadlines, the government indicates they will adjust the verbiage in the Performance Work Statement to better clarify submission deadlines that were originally stated as "15 days prior to contract start."

2 N/A N/A N/A This may differ from cleaning work, but we noticed that the rails used in the targeting system at the shooting range had numerous bullet marks. Some of the rails appeared to be deformed.

Could you please let us know if there is a possibility that the replacement of these rails will be required as part of this project?

The replacement of these rails is not anticipated as a part of this project in the present.

N/A Section F contains a table of deliverables related to each annex (0200000, 1502000, 1800000). In this table, the submission deadline for some documents is stated as "15 days prior to contract start."

Would it be possible to change this to "within 15 days after the contract award"?

Alternatively, do you provide enough time for the contractor to submit the required forms?

Verbiage will be adjusted to better clarify the submission deadline. Please see revised Performance Work Statement.
