AMENDMENT 0002

1. NAVFAC Far East has scheduled a Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit (Hakozaki) for October 03, 2013.

Details follow below at Provision 5252.237-9302, as edited.

2. The following responses to a request for information are hereby provided:

a. Frequency of Inspection, Testing and Maintenance Services:

Q: We would like to request that the specifications show a precise frequency of services for major equipment or systems.

A: Each contractor shall be responsible for estimating the frequency of equipment services in their quote package, in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidance and the regulatory limits. The specification is performance based, so it is the contractor's responsibility to provide all maintenance, testing and inspections as described in the references and develop their own schedule. The requiring command no longer has the resources to continue performing the maintenance and therefore is contracting out the maintenance testing and inspection services for the equipment list in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

b. Response Times for Regional Locations:

Q: As to the response time for … the far site locations such as Misawa and Sasebo need longer time of dispatching technicians.

A: Response time cannot be longer since this is to remove an emergency situation that could lead to a catastrophic event.

c. Quote Package Due Date:

Q: Will there be more time to prepare a proposal?

A: Yes, NAVFAC Far East has authorized the extension of the proposal due date. Please see below.

3. The solicitation due date for quote packages has been extended to October 24, 2013, at 14:30 hours Japan Standard Time (JST). Documentation submitted after the closing time may not be accepted.

SECTION SF 1449 - CONTINUATION SHEET

SOLICITATION/CONTRACT FORM

The required response date/time has changed from 20-Aug-2013 02:30 PM to 24-Oct-2013 02:30 PM.
