QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
RFP, Section J, Building Diagrams
Per the building diagrams provided, several buildings and building areas were crossed off and/or labeled with "no services required". However, some of these areas were included for viewing during the site visit on August 8, 2013.
Can the government confirm the building numbers as well as room numbers per building included in the SOW and the services that will be required at each building so that we can accurately assess work load and costing?
The areas labeled "No Service" applies to Janitorial services only as they are on the "Custodial Floor Plan." Although the spaces labeled "No Service" will not require Janitorial services, they still have mechanical equipment that will need to be serviced and the possibility for pest related issues.
RFP, Section C, Spec Item 2.4 In Spec Item 2.4 of Section C, it is stated that “the
Government will furnish or make available to the Contractor certain Government-owned facilities, utilities, materials, and equipment for use in connection with this contract.” Will the contractor be provided with a functional office space at the facility or is it required that the contractor furnish a work space to conduct operations (such as a job site trailer) for which the Government will provide utilities?
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing their own work space off-site. The government will not be supplying utilities of any kind to job-site trailers as they are not permitted. The only utilities that the government will be providing are water and electricity as necessary to accomplish work (i.e. water for mopping, electricity for power equipment, etc.).
RFP, Section C, Spec Item 2.10.1.3 In Spec Item 2.10.1.3 it is stated that “Hazardous Waste
Disposal the Contractor shall dispose of all hazardous waste in accordance with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and all other applicable Federal, state and local laws and regulations. No on installation disposal of hazardous waste is allowed.” In reference to the statement above, please clarify if the contractor is responsible to handle and dispose of items that are considered hazardous waste generated by sources other than the contractor, i.e.
batteries, computer equipment, light bulbs etc. Does the site currently have an on-site hazardous waste disposal program, if so will the contractor have the ability to utilize the program?
The Contractor will not be responsible for the disposal of Government generated hazardous waste with exception of light bulbs. The contractor is responsible for properly disposing of used light bulbs as they replace them. There is no on-site hazardous waste program that will be utilized.
N/A Who is the incumbent contractor for the aforementioned solicitation? (Several Offerors had similar inquiries --- i.e.
