7.3.2.1 Assumes 6,000 square feet to be taken down to bare metal.
Please advise if the total amount to be prepped to bare metal is 6,000 square feet or 21,184 square feet.
7.8.3.1.1 & 7.8.3.1.2 both require contractor to apply 1 coat of 240 to surfaces requiring reference 2.2 surface preparation requirements.

2. Please confirm SSPC-SP 10 or SSPC-SP 6 prep level for bare metal addressed in question 1.
7.8.5 Directs contractor to prep and paint both sides of welded ventilation screen louvers.
ANSWER: Areas to be brought down to Surface Preparation Standard, SSPC-SP10.
3. Please advise level of prep for welded louvers and if removable louvers and screens are to be addressed.
ANSWER: The ventilation louvers are not welded to the ship’s skin (they are removable Stainless Steel louvers) and they are not required to be prepped and painted on both sides. Contractor needs to protect louvers during the blasting evolution.
