This is a First Article Test Procedure document for the IM-272A/WDQ Radiacmeter, Air Monitor for Radioactive Particles, issued by Spectral Labs Incorporated under Contract No. N00167-19-C-0005 with the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).

The document outlines comprehensive electrical interface testing requirements for the IM-272A/WDQ radiacmeter to assess the robustness of its electrical interface and ensure safe operation. Testing is conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-1399 Section 300B, paragraph 5.3 for Type I, single phase, 60 Hz power. The ten required tests include: voltage and frequency tolerance; voltage and frequency transient tolerance and recovery; voltage spike; emergency condition; grounding; user equipment profile; current waveform; voltage and frequency modulation; simulated human body leakage current for personnel safety; and equipment insulation resistance. Test article configuration requires front cover and access door installation, power cord connection, external valve control cable attachment, and normal operating mode operation with data logging during susceptibility testing. The unit shall provide 115 VAC and 28 VCD power via Jack J3 to an external isolation valve controller connected to two automatic isolation valves. A Functional Test Part 2 must be performed immediately before and after the test suite. Testing may be conducted in any order in standard laboratory environmental conditions. Acceptance criteria specify normal operation with no degradation for most tests, operational tolerance of emergency conditions with recovery capability, a maximum leakage current of 5 mA through the human body impedance network, equipment insulation resistance of 10 Mohms or greater, and line current less than 10 A. The test procedure was initially released October 31, 2019, with administrative updates finalized May 28, 2020.
