About this file
The file is an Industry Day Agenda for a naval contract opportunity involving barge preservation services in Alaska. On 7 May 2025, Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division will host an industry event at the Southeast Alaska Acoustic Measurement Facility (SEAFAC) to review IX527 and IX528 barge maintenance requirements. The event will include facility tours, government presentations, and an industry feedback session, with strict attendance protocols requiring pre-registration, specific ID requirements, and prohibitions on electronic devices and recording.
The associated federal contract opportunity (Solicitation N0016725R1001) seeks Preservation, Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance (PIRM) support services for two static site barges near Ketchikan, Alaska. NSWCCD plans to award an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract, with the IX-527 barge included in the first task order. The agency is conducting market research to identify potential small and large business contractors, with a draft Statement of Work available for review until 1 April 2025. The market research aims to determine contractor interest and capability for providing comprehensive barge maintenance services.
