8/20/2019 Solicitation Question and Answers Received After Amendment 3

1. In regards to question 7 of the latest Q&A, where the IM-272A test report was provided: The details to these tests are important, and were not supplied. Could the appendices to the test report on the 272A supplied within CDRL C003 IM-272A/WDQ (Alpha UUT) Test/Inspection Report Document# 8602431-028 Rev.3 be also published? See below.

From the table of contents of the report above:

Answer: The Government will provide the information it has available via DOD SAFE Site upon request. This information is provided for informational purposes only.

1. Since this testing above was limited (for example, EMI tests were not performed) could the original type tests performed on the IM-272 also be released?

Answer: The Government will provide the information it has available via DOD SAFE Site upon request. This information is provided for informational purposes only.

1. Section 9 on page 1 of the solicitation states to send an original and one copy but 2.0, pg. 62 states to submit electronically. Can you clarify the Government's preference please?

Answer: The proposal shall be submitted electronically only. This has been clarified in the amendment.

1. "The Profibus interface information is still listed in the reformed contract and performance testing spec, though the answer in the Aug. 9 Q&A said it would be removed.

Is the requirement for Profibus being removed from the contract?"

Answer: The amended solicitation removes the reference in section 2.0 of Section C. The IM-272A shall be capable of functioning with the Profibus. The contractor is not responsible for procuring or installing the Profibus.

1. Drawing 8602246 provided with the TDP lists Part Number 1081003 in its parts List. Unlike other COTS parts listed throughout the TDP, there is no Identification Cross Reference Drawing for this part. Also, the COTS Part Cross Reference Guide has a manufacturer part number listed for 1081003 that is not valid. Can we be provided with the Identification Cross Reference Drawing for 1081003 or be provided a valid manufacturer’s (Diamond Systems) part number? Additionally we note that there are two other Parts on the COTS Part Cross Reference Guide listing Diamond Systems as the manufacturer, but these two Parts, 1081002 and 1181001, do not appear on any drawing. Are these parts required?

Answer: Part Number 1081002 is the Single Board Computer (SBC), Helios, PC-104 without the system software. Part Number 1181001 is the flash memory card installed on the PC-104 board. The QNX license (Item 8 of drawing 8602246) is installed on the flash memory. When the system software is installed and it is installed on the PC-104 board, Part Number 1081002 becomes Part Number 1081003.
