About this file
This is an industry day agenda for the USS Arizona Memorial Tour Boat Fleet recapitalization effort hosted by PMS 300 on March 18-19, 2026, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Department of the Navy is seeking industry feedback on recapitalization courses of action for the AZM TB fleet of six boats, which operates two rotating vessels for 11 hours per day, 362 days annually, to provide access to one of the Nation's most sacred memorials. The mission objective prioritizes reliability, efficiency, and a solemn experience that does not detract from the memorial.
Day one (March 18) begins with security badging at 0600 at Pass & ID Building 3455, followed by a 0900 briefing session covering fleet logistics, current boat conditions, maintenance challenges, and overview of possible solutions with Q&A. The afternoon includes a 90-minute hands-on vessel and infrastructure inspection at Ford Island to assess hull condition, machinery condition, and feasibility of Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) and conversion courses of action, followed by a 45-minute shoreside infrastructure tour with a NAVFAC electrical engineer, a 45-minute operational tour boat experience, and a final Q&A session. Day two (March 19) features 20-minute one-on-one sessions with individual attendees to address feedback and unresolved questions. Attendees must submit all questions by the March 10, 2026 due date to Jason Pratt, Contact Specialist, with answers presented at the industry day.
