About this file
This document is an Industry Day Agenda for the Arizona Memorial Ferry Mission procurement initiative. The two-day event is designed to brief industry partners on the ferry modernization opportunity and gather feedback on potential solutions. Day 1 begins with security badging at 0600-0730, followed by a strategic overview briefing covering the mission's key objectives: Reliability, Energy Efficiency, Lifecycle Value, and Solemnity/Visitor Experience. From 0900-1100, the Lead Operator and Maintenance Chief will conduct a detailed briefing on operational tempo, maintenance drivers, reliability data, and operator feedback. A critical 2-hour hands-on vessel inspection at the Maintenance Pier (Building 44) runs from 1115-1315, where bidders and government parties can assess hull condition, machinery conditions, and the feasibility of Service Life Extension Plan (SLEP) and conversion courses of action. Attendees are prohibited from taking photographs or videos but may take detailed notes. The afternoon includes a 45-minute dock infrastructure deep dive presentation by NAVFAC Hawaii discussing shore power upgrades and DC Fast Charging options, followed by a 45-minute mission immersion ferry ride to experience operational cycles and current vessel conditions.
Day 2 is structured as one-on-one sessions scheduled in 45-minute to 1-hour blocks from 0800 to end of day at the Briefing Room. These sessions provide opportunities for government representatives to gather initial feedback from industry attendees and address any follow-up questions, actions, discussions, or unresolved items from Day 1. Attendees must complete Form 5512/1 background checks in advance; those without prior processing should arrive by 0550 to expedite the badging process. The agenda emphasizes hands-on assessment of existing ferry assets and infrastructure to inform industry proposals for vessel modernization and charging infrastructure solutions.

This will likely take 1hr. If background check work was already done via 5512/1, the pickup process should not take long, and you can theoretically arrive closer to 0700.
