MAC bidders?
Yes, sub-items 1 through 6 do apply to Little MAC bidders.

Proposal Instructions
On page 123, in items #10 and 15, the Government asks for information on the process for validating and issuing tools. Further, on page 127, in the instructions for the pre-award information, the RFP states “provide a narrative description of the offeror’s financial resources to perform at least two (2) concurrent Preventative Maintenance Availability work packages.”
a. Is it the government’s intent that the contractor provide all necessary tools and test equipment to conduct all work during a
PMA, and that each contractor must maintain a tool locker and test equipment to conduct two PMAs simultaneously?
b. Will contracts have access to the ship’s tools and test equipment?
a. Yes Offerors are required to provide all necessary tools and test equipment to conduct all requirements simultaneously.
b. No

Requirements
The RFP states: “The Contractor shall have
Secret facility clearance and Secret safeguarding. The Contractor will need access to secure voice communication for trouble shooting, technical assistance, and will need access to classified documents through
SIPRNET only when necessary and under the cognizance of a Government official on the ship or Government facility they are supporting.”
a. Please confirm this requirement only applies to contractors bidding on MAC I (“Big MAC”), as the SOW elements for “Little
MAC” do not include troubleshooting or technical assistance.
b. If awardees will only be accessing classified documents through SIPRNET or under
Government cognizance on board the ship or at the Government facility, please clarify why offerors are required to maintain a
Secret Facility and Secret Safeguarding clearance?
a. The RFP will be amended to reflect that Offerors do not need to have Secret Facility Clearance and
Secret Safeguarding.
