Industry Day vs. RFP Amendment 0001
New Hardware Specifications

• 8595283 Sub-System Specification (SSS)
• 8595284 Test Requirements Document (TRD)
• 8595305 Software Interface Specification (SIS)
– PGA CIPS 8210785 is Obsolete and replaced with:
• 8595285 SSS
• 8595286 TRD

Industry Day vs. RFP Amendment 0001
Changes/Clarifications to Contract Deliverables
• An option for Exercise Fuel Tank Kits has been added
– Similar to Warshot Fuel Tank but 6 inches shorter
– Stepladder quantity is 1-100, 4 steps maximum
• “PrePOMs” nomenclature changed to “PODs” (Proof of Design)
• CGA
– Actuator Transient Voltage Suppression circuit card and related specification changes were added to reduce CGA noise induced by the operation of the torpedo steering fin actuators
• Speed Control Valve
– Industry Day slides show the SCV as an assembled unit
– The SCV is actually purchased as a partial kit of unassembled parts
– No GFE test equipment is provided
• Thermal Battery Holder
– Industry Day slides identified this as a “sheet metal weldment”
– The weldment option is being removed from the drawing due to interference issues
(currently a draft ECP)
• Appendix F added in RFP to clarify what build-to-print parts and assemblies are included with the CGA and IMU in the “Common Parts Kits”
Industry Day vs. RFP Amendment 0001
GFE Differences
• Industry Day slides stated that GFE would be supplied for modification with obsolescence upgrades and delivered back as
PrePOMs. The RFP does not provide GFE for this purpose.
• Industry Day slides stated the Depth Sensor Assembly in the CGA is
GFE. That was an error. The current DSA is a commercial off-the-shelf device. The Pressure Switch and pressure line Coupler in the
CGA are provided as GFE.
• An upgrade to the GFE AutoLITS is currently being developed
– Includes OS upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7
– Oscilloscope will be upgraded
– Software re-architecture will probably include deletion of Borland C++ and elimination of CMA and PCU confidence tests.
– The AutoLITS TDP that will be provided with the RFP does not include these changes yet
– PCU test capability is not part of the AutoLITS test capability package
