1. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT
The test equipment being provided for use during the development and production of the MK54 LWT Common Parts
Kits and MK54 MOD 0 PGAs are listed below along with a description of the test capabilities.
1.1 AUTOLITS
The Automatic Lightweight Interim Test Set, better known as AutoLITS, is used to perform functional Factory Acceptance
Testing (FAT) on the MK 54 MOD 0 Control Group Assembly (CGA) and Processor Group Assembly (PGA). The AutoLITS identifies failures at a functional level as defined by the Subsystem Specification (SSS) and Test Requirements Document
(TRD). It can also test for CGA Control Module Assembly (CMA). Self-test capabilities verify nearly 100% of signal paths of the unit under test.
2. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED FACILITIES
The following Government Test Facilities will be made available for contractor use in accordance with the negotiated test schedule.
2.1 ENVIRONMENTAL TEST LAB (ETL)
Environmental test lab specializes in design verification and development, reliability assurance and lab simulation of environmental conditions. Many environments can be combined such as temperature, vibration, and functional testing. ETL test capabilities provided as GFF include:
a. Coolant pump test stand: Tests all environmental conditions during operation.
b. Type II Cable Temperature and Pressure Operational Testing: The Type II cable test stand is capable of pressurizing and heating cables up to 500 °F and 3000 psi in a silicon oil bath.
2.2 FAILURE ANALYSIS LAB
The Failure Analysis Lab specializes in independent root cause failure analysis, reverse engineering, and materials characterization. The lab’s services are used to increase the reliability of weapon systems through the use of cause analysis, imaging and inspection, material characterization (including X-Ray Spectroscopy and Fourier Transform – Infrared (FT-IR) analysis), mechanical analysis and electrical analysis.
The Failure Analysis Lab has leading industry capabilities, state of the art equipment (including the recent addition of a thermal microscope and an updated Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS) for elemental analysis) as well as Mechanical, Electrical and Metallurgical subject matter experts.
