About this file

This file is an As-Built Configuration Template in Excel format that provides a data schema for documenting the hierarchical assembly structure and component details of manufactured products. The template establishes 23 data columns with specific field requirements for capturing product configuration information, including program identification, part numbers, component descriptions, serial and lot number tracking, manufacturing dates, manufacturer CAGE codes, acceptance dates, and higher-level assembly relationships. The template accommodates multiple message fields to record contract information, waivers, deviations, and special characteristics applicable to individual items.

The template is designed for use in the Mobile Tactical Cannon-Tracked (MTC-T) and Resupply Vehicle-Tracked (RSV-T) solicitation (MOSAIC-27-01), where the Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal is seeking a mature, tracked self-propelled 155mm howitzer system from existing production lines. Contractors selected to submit proposals must use this configuration template to document the as-built status of delivered systems, capturing the complete bill of materials with traceability from end items through all reportable subassemblies and components. The template enforces data standardization through defined field lengths and content types, with mandatory fields for life-limited items including manufacture dates referenced from DD1650 ammunition data cards and acceptance dates from certificates of conformance.

2Program NameChar(42)The name of the product.
3Indenture LevelChar(2)The numbered indenture of where the component resides within the reportable hierarchical assembly structure (Drawing tree or CARL).
4Part NumberChar(26)The part number of the item, normally the drawing number (with applicable dash suffix)
5Reference DesignatorChar(15)An abbreviated descriptor for the unit/assembly of the item.
6Part DescriptionChar(80)Nomenclature (description) of the item, normally the drawing title.
7Part Number Sequence NumberNum(2)A unique, sequential number for each item starting at zero for the end item and incrementing by one for each additional reportable item.
8Serial/Lot TypeChar(6)An identifier that determines the content of the "Serial/Lot Number" (column 9) and the "Lot Number" (column 13) columns. Acceptable values:
SERIAL (column 9 contains Item Serial Number, column 13 blank)
SERLOT (column 9 contains Item Serial Number, column 13 contains Manufacturer Lot Number)
LOT (column 9 contains Manufacturer Lot Number, column 13 blank)
