PC Gen III The PC Gen III provides improvements in mobility, weight, fit, and function while retaining the same area of ballistic coverage as the legacy PC.
~25% lighter, 1 ½ inches shorter, contoured shoulders for better rifle stock weld, removable soft armor vest, integrated load bearing panel, removable yoke/collar The PC Gen III is a Gov’t-owned design that has been tested extensively with the operating forces.
The PC Gen III consists of a base vest and modular components for tailoring protection levels to defeat multiple ballistic hazards across the battlefield continuum and to manage armor weight.
PC Gen III Outer nylon carrier with soft armor inserts, cummerbund system with a quick release to secure the vest Removable Low Profile Vest armor system, integrated load bearing panel, detachable yoke and collar assembly Improves overall mobility, eliminates excess bulk, provides better rifle stock weld with lighter weight materials Ballistic soft armor technology improvements have lowered aerial density while providing increased ballistic protection (Frag, 9MM, 357SIG, 357MAG) Updated sizing (XS, XS-SH, SM-SH, SM-Long, SM, MD, LG, XL) with 2 sizes for side plate pockets (6x6” and 6x8”)
