F-35 Hangar Crane Upgrade

Questions & Answers

1. QUESTION: Power supply voltage? ANSWER: 460 VAC

2. QUESTION: Number of conductor bars on runway and bridge collector arrangement?

ANSWER: There 4 bars on the run way collector bar arrangement with dual collectors. The bridge is festooned with #12 AWG flat cable.

3. QUESTION: Hoist reeving; single or double? ANSWER: Double reeved

4. QUESTION: Motor class of insulation; "F or H"? ANSWER: F class

5. QUESTION: Motor duty rating; 30 min or 60 min? ANSWER: 60 min

6. QUESTION: Are there any special lights on bridge & hoist panels such as power on, overload, fault, etc.? ANSWER: (a) A white light to indicate that power is available on the load side of the crane disconnect shall be viewable from the operator's station. (b) A blue light to indicate that the main contactor is energized shall be viewable from the operator's station.

(c) LED type lights should be used for all indicator lights. (d) Indicator lights should be installed on the underside of indoor cranes (mounted on bridge, control panel, separate panel, etc.)

where they are visible from the operating position. Indicator lights should only be installed on remote controllers and pendant controllers when glare or other circumstances make indicator lights mounted on the crane difficult to see. In lieu of indicator lights, LCD or similar type displays may be used on remote and pendant controllers.
