About this file

This document is a section of the specifications for the Internal Cryogenics component of the LBNF (Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility) project. It provides detailed submittal requirements for the products and services to be provided under this contract, including submittal schedules, formats, procedures, and review processes.

The scope of the related federal contract opportunity is to engineer, manufacture, pack, and deliver the internal cryogenics piping systems for the first two LBNF cryostats. This includes approximately 30 vacuum-insulated and uninsulated cryogenic transfer lines and supports. The successful bidder will be required to comply with the submittal requirements outlined in this specification section. The LBNF project is being managed by the Department of Energy's Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. For a full description of the requirements, refer to the RFP and Statement of Work documents.

3. Submit action submittals and informational submittals required by the same Specification Section as separate packages under separate transmittals.

4. Coordinate transmittal of submittals for related parts of the Work specified in different Sections so processing will not be delayed because of need to review submittals concurrently for coordination.

a. FRA reserves the right to withhold action on a submittal requiring coordination with other submittals until related submittals are received.

C. Processing Time: Allow time for submittal review, including time for resubmittals, as follows. Time for review shall commence on FRA’s receipt of submittal. No extension of the Subcontract Time will be authorized because of failure to transmit submittals enough
